Longlines!
The new challenge
Whoever passionately persues a sport or a hobby will begint to look for new challenges in his passion sooner or later. A runner for example will begint to look into marathon, triathlon or ironman. A climber might consider bouldering, higher difficulties or multi pitch routes and a slackliner can try trick-/jumplines, highlines or longlines.
The disadvantages
of longlines so far
We are intensely engaged in the subject of longlining since 2006. Then as now longlines are a rather rare phenomenon, which is partly due to the relatively high effort of tensioning a slackline with more than 50m. Also there was a lack of hardware supply and the specific techniques and instructions so far. But in our opinion what weighs even heavier than the cost factor is the effort of procurement of materials and techniques, or the effort for setting up the line. Who can afford to spend almost 800 $ and days of research just for the pleasure of having a 100m longline?
The risks of longlining so far
These can be roughly split up into three scopes:
1. Risk of injury due to improper setup
2. Risk of injury due to the usage of unsuitable gear
3. Risk of injury due to rigging the line too high
The use of special longline gear and the right techniques, enable you to set up a secure longline, having the existing sources of risk under control.
Our promise:
now its time to set aside the disadvantages of longlining!
"A complete longline equipment is hideously expensive..."? WRONG!
"It takes hours to set up a longline..."? WRONG!
"Longlines can only be set up by experienced professionals..."? WRONG!
"A longline can not be set up alone..."? WRONG!
